This week, we saw the Cinch Tennis Championship, which is currently held at The Queens Tennis Club. Here is a quick round of the week!
The cinch championship consists of 5 drawers: men’s singles, men’s wheelchair singles, men’s doubles, men’s doubles qualifying and men’s qualifying.
This consisted of 4 matches, with Caspar Ruud of Norway taking on Ryan Peniston of Great Britain. Peniston beat Ruud to move forward to the next round with 98 points won. The second round 1 match was Francisco Cerundolo versus Pedro Martinez and Cerundolo won to move into round 2 to play against Peniston. The 3rd round 1 match was Jenson Brooksby vs Flip Krajinovic, in which Krajinovic moved into the second round. Sam Querrey took on Diego Schwartzman and Querrey took on Kraijnovic.
Ryan Peniston beat Francisco Cerundolo to proceed to the quarter-finals against Flip Krajinovic who beat Sam Querrey in round 2. Jack Draper played against Emil Ruusuvuori, where Ruusuvuori won and moved into the next round against Marin Cilic, who beat Alexander Bublik.
