Heading to The Commonwealth Games? Here is what You Need to Know…

With the games in full swing, it is a good idea to prepare yourself before you make the exciting journey to see who will be bringing home the gold medals this year!

Travelling

As you are probably aware, there are travel restrictions in place in and around the locations of any of the events taking place. There is no parking at or near venues other than the limited pre-bookable spaces for blue badge holders. Every ticket to the game, allows access to public transport around the area, making it the best way to travel to and from the games.

If you’re planning to drive to Birmingham, our Digbeth Car Park is available and is in a great location. There is a Park & Ride shuttle bus service which you should book beforehand!

All of the venues do offer secure cycle parking so if you’re cycling down, there is plenty of space for your bicycle.

Tickets

If you already have your tickets, ensure they are downloaded on your phone. Alternatively, you can print your copy and have it to hand when requested. Please note, that the lead booker must bring ID and the entire party must enter the venue together. It might be the last day, but there are still some tickets available! Find yours here

Arrive Early

As you can imagine, with so many people excited to come and see the variety of different events taking place, it can get extremely busy and queues are very likely. Most venues open 90 mins before the start of an event, offering you the opportunity to take your time to appreciate the space, atmosphere and venue before settling into your seat.
