Welcome to the Midland Road Public Car Park
Our Hemel Hempstead car park is located on Charter Court, Midland Road. It offers some of the cheapest parking prices in the area, and is ideal for those visiting Hemel Hempstead hospital, Marlowes shopping centre or the Riverside open-air shopping centre. You can park here all day for just £4.00 on weekdays, £2.50 on Saturdays and £1.50 on Sundays!
Our car park on Midland Road is only a 5-minute walk from the Hemel Hempstead hospital. An all-day stay in the hospital car park is more than three times our tariff rate. Our car park is perfect for people making a drop off to the hospital, or for visitors who don’t know how long they will be, because you don’t need to worry about an increasing rate throughout the day.
The price of parking at our Midland Road car park offers the best rate for parking in the area. The car park offers easy access to the hospital which is just a short 5 minute walk away, and we are considerably cheaper than the hospital parking.

The Matlowes shopping centre is located a short 6-minute walk from the car park, and is home to 100s of stores and top brands. They also have a kids club which hosts face painting, arts and crafts, storytelling and games throughout the day to keep your young ones entertained.
Riverside is an open-air shopping centre that offers a number of retailers like Debenhams, Next, H&M, Topshop and TK Maxx. It is located a 10 minute walk away from the car park, with a walk alongside the Marlowes Shopping centre.
Green Parking Limited does not carry out routine gritting or snow clearance of car parks and the availability of resources during extreme weather conditions are limited and not reasonably practical. Gritting may also not provide any less of a risk in their use during icy conditions.
The view of the Green Parking Limited is that during severe weather and the warnings in place to the public to travel, falling snow and ice provides a clear visible risk to the public and is no greater than the risk presented on a public footpath. The use of car parks is a matter of public decision and personal risk assessment.
Car parks do not form part of the highways, which are a priority during this time. Green Parking will include road entrances to the car parks. Within resources available we do place some grit on some high footfall areas around machines and ramp accesses.
During severe weather, the car parks are monitored and may be closed if the inclement weather continues.
